And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

On his first demonstration flight (not the R5)he demonstrated to the press how it flew backwards and sideways, but not forward. The press did not notice he never flew it forward. He didn't fly it forward because it actually did not fly forward very well.
I can see how a journalist might overlook forward flight by the captivating ability to fly laterally and in reverse. I also think this slight-of-hand technique has overtaken our modern press corpse(sic).
He looks pissed. But seriously talk about a man who left his mark on the world...
