S&W M1917 - .45 ACP

  1. I had one of those once. Old, battered, blushing worn off, barrel cut down. Bought it in a pawn shop. It was stamped "Property of Mexico City Police", in English, leading me to believe it was part of a special production order. Trigger was smooth as silk and it would lob them fat 45 bullets all day long. Finally traded it on something else, but would love to get another long barrel version some day.

  2. Just as effective now as it was in 1917

    1. Money invested in one in 1917 would still be paying off today in manly fun.

    2. I could even afford one, if the price in today's dollars was the same as it was in 1917!

That pic shows a beautiful example. I'd love to have one like that!
